Stump Beach (sometimes referred to as Stump Beach Cove) is located at the South end of Fisk Mill Cove, a couple miles North of the entrance to Gerstle Cove. It's easy to find, as there is a large sign on the West side of Highway 1. Once you exit at the sign, there is a large parking lot, and a well-built 1/4 mile gravel trail leading down to the sandy beach.
The cove has a sandy bottom inside, with kelp extending outside the small bay off the rocky points into the ocean. To find abalone, you'll have to work the outer areas of the cove or along the North of South walls of the cove.
