Dive Site Overview:

Timber Cove is located about 1.5 miles South of Stillwater Cove, and the cove faces to the Southwest. Because of this, the cove offers a fair amount of protection from the sometimes large Northwest swells that hit the Northern coast.

One of the main features of Timber Cove is that it offers a boat launch, and boats up to 17 feet can be launched here. There is an additional fee for launching.

TImber Cove is private property, and they charge a $6 per person trespass fee to use this site. There is plenty of parking available, and decent diving outside the cove for abalone and fishing.

Conditions vary widely depending on the weather, wind, surge, and often change by the hour. Timber Cove is somewhat protected from the Northern swells, so it is a site to check out on rougher days. Be sure to check the ocean conditions before driving up, and carefully evaluate the water before deciding to make a dive.
